Somatic and relational parts work. Helping clients experience themselves more fully, moving from trauma-patterns into embodied vitality.
LCSW VirtualI bring my whole self to every session, every intensive. I am deeply relational and believe wholeheartedly that the therapeutic relationship is the foundational aspect of the work. I believe that the relationship we co-create can help lay the foundation for developing secure attachments outside of this container, so we will use our connection as a vessel for the work as well. I am an experiential therapist, which means we move, shake, enroll parts, externalize the inner children, go outside, run, shake, lay on the floor, create tension, pendulate resource/trauma thru somatic expression, just about anything your system needs in the moment. I am highly trained as a trauma specialist, which means we move from a place of resource.
We do NOT chase catharsis. Your system will show me when and how it is safe enough to process the underlying wounds and adaptive behaviors that have brought you in to work together. The critical work is creating safety, containment, and the ability to regulate. From there we touch the wound, the shadows, the pain. Above all, we will re-member how to play, breathe, connect, take time to exist and be in our bodies and hearts.
Highly relational and experiential. You will be asked to be in the room fully, in each session because that is how we create change — welcoming and embracing all parts of ourselves.
